    Hello, Milly McBreen [Student-CTA]

    Welcome to Microsoft support community.

    I understand you are trying to insert some image to your PowerPoint, but you are seeing the insert operation going forever, right? That does sounds very annoying, and we will try to cope with the issue together.

    ===================================

    Are you on an iPad or iPhone device? The situation might be slightly different in different device.

    1.Make sure file is accessible

    Is the image store on your local folder (Not iCloud, maybe)? Try to copy those two images to some place like On your iPhone and open that file on image looking up application to have a preview to see if that **** is **** accessible by another application. Maybe give me an image about the location if it is convenient; so, I know if your album files are in more accessible location.

    2. Reboot device

    Reboot your device, restart your Office application, create a new empty document insert the image there. Give your device and Office application a fresh start usually is the most efficient way to solve this kind of problem.
