Linking Outlook 365 and Sharepoint

I am using MS365 and use Sharepoint sites for storage across our organisation and Outlook MS365 for email.

I work remotely quite a bit and so work using the online apps.

How can I link Sharepoint and Outlook so that when I want to attach a file from Sharepoint to an email I don't need to download and upload the file?

Currently the attach options are only for OneDrive, sharing links, and then other desktop locations..

Thank you!

It is amazing the amount of BS these corporations use to hide a simple message: "no, can't do". Especially American companies (eg, you see here, MS).

All the time used BSing the answer could have been used to actually create a ticket internally to say: "Hey guys, people are complaining again about lack of integration between our very own products. How's that discussion going?"

    Hi,

    Thank you for getting back.

I don't really understand why the two products don't sync together but putting that aside...

I don't get a groups under the OneDrive settings?

    Dear Yehuda Neuberger,

Thanks for writing back and updating with us.

As per the further updates, I would like to convey the SharePoint will be shown when attaching the files in the emails via Outlook application:

However, the non-availability of the SharePoint while attaching the files in the email via Outlook for web is a feature limitation and request you to add your valuable feedback Outlook · Community (microsoft.com).

Coming the Groups when clicking on the OneDrive in the Attachments in the Outlook for the web, here are the screenshots:

If you are still not able to see the Groups when you click on the OneDrive in the Outlook for the web while attaching the files, I would like to request you post your concern in the Outlook category of this community:

Appreciate your patience with us and have a wonderful day!!

    Dear Yehuda Neuberger,

    Good day!!

Apologies for the inconvenience caused and please don’t worry, let’s work together on your concern and move towards a resolution path.

As per the description shared, I would like to confirm whether you are looking for the option SharePoint while attaching the files in the email via Outlook for the web so that you no need to download from the SharePoint Online site document library and upload using “This Device”.

If my understanding is correct, I am sorry to convey that there is no out of the box feature or settings in the Outlook for the web to get the SharePoint option while attaching the files in the email.

I agree with you having the ability to have SharePoint option when attaching the files in the email via Outlook for the web will benefit the users and I request you to add your valuable idea as feedback in the Outlook · Community (microsoft.com) which is the best place to share our ideas and improve the Microsoft products.

However, the workaround you can try to attach the files in the SharePoint Online sites (connected with the Microsoft 365 groups) without downloading from the SharePoint Online site is via below steps:

Open the new email in the Outlook for the web> Click on the Attachments> OneDrive> Groups> Click on Site> Select the file> Share Link.

Note: The above steps will help to attach the file that are stored in the default document library of the SharePoint Online sites connected with the Microsoft 365 groups.

Appreciate your patience and understanding. Have a great day!!

    Best Regards,

    Sophia
