Dear Microsoft,

I am having difficulty connecting with our server. When I try to retrieve old emails, I find that I can only access messages from the past 12 months.

As a law firm, it is crucial for us to have access to all emails that were received or sent, regardless of their age.

Could you please assist me in resolving this issue?

Thank you for your help.

Sincerely,
Vanesa Jordanova Cvetežar

    Hello Andreja Žinko Gale,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

Are you facing the issue with Outlook desktop applications? Could you please inform us of the version of Outlook you're currently using? Is it the New Outlook or the Classic Outlook? What version of Outlook do I have? - Microsoft Support

If it's a classic version of outlook, please try the following steps and let me know the update:

    Step:1 Check Outlook Synchronization Settings:

    1. Open Outlook.
    2. Go to File > Account Settings > Account Settings.
    3. Select your email account and click Change.
    4. Under Offline Settings Look for the "Download email for the past" slider**.** By default, this might be set to only keep the last 12 months of emails offline. Drag this slider all the way to the right to keep all mail offline.
