I have a Family 365 Subscription, I am only getting 1TB of storage with it, and so I've purchased an extra 1TB storage additionally. I need 3TB so I asked CoPilot how to solve this and it tells me I am entitled to 2TB of storage with Family Subsctiption and then pay for extra 1TB totally 3TB. But when i login to my Service and Subsc page for Family its states I only have 1TB and there is no mention of the 2TB included that CoPilot tells me I should have. It suggests numerous troubleshooting different account logins/ setups etc etc. None work. How do i ensure the included 2TB i should have with Family is there/ used so that when I purchase the extra 1TB then i have a total of 3TB. Because right now I only have 1TB incl, with purchased extra 1TB totally 2TB. Below is what copilot stated

"That’s strange. If you have the Microsoft 365 Family plan, you should be able to see 2 TB of cloud storage on your OneDrive account^1^. There are a few possible reasons why you might not see the correct storage amount:

To troubleshoot this problem, you can try the following steps:

  1. Sign out of your OneDrive account and sign in again with the same Microsoft account that you used to purchase or redeem your Microsoft 365 subscription^2^.
  2. Check your Microsoft 365 subscription status and make sure you are using the one that includes 2 TB of cloud storage^2^You can do this by going to the Services & subscriptions page and signing in with your Microsoft account^2^.
  3. Refresh your OneDrive account and see if the storage amount has been updated^2^You can do this by going to the Manage Storage page and clicking on the Refresh button^2^.
  4. If none of the above steps work, you can contact the OneDrive support team and ask for assistance^2^They can help you resolve the issue and ensure that you get the correct storage amount on your OneDrive account^2^.

I hope this helps you fix the problem and get 2 TB of storage on your OneDrive account. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask me. 😊.

Is it 1TB limit for each person or 4TB (we are 4 in the family) to be used by anyone?

The Family plan applicable up to 6 persons and each person got 1TB storage. Even there is only one person subscribed to a Family plan, this person would get only 1TB no 6TB.

Hi, I am Sumit, and I will gladly assist you today. Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

This is why AI is unreliable - each of 5 members in the Family get 1TB each, not 2 TB. In total it is 5TB, but 1TB for each user.

    I hope this helps.
