Someone trying to access account daily

Hello!

So on almost a rather regular basis, I am receiving a single-use code to access my account. Often times 2-3 times per day. The message funds stating that if it wasn't me not to worry, likely someone else mistyped. Except it's a rather unique email address and it's been going on for months. I can't seem to locate anyone within Microsoft support to raise my concern, so any thoughts from the community? Thanks!

    I also have this issue. I no longer use Microsoft 365 and I get this message everyday multiple times. I feel Microsoft should be looking into this when it happens this often! It's been happening for months now

    I also have this issue and have done for several months. I've just checked Microsoft account management website: https://account.live.com/Activity as suggested by Raymond and can see there have been 8 log-in attempts that were not by me which match with the OTP e-mails in the last 2 weeks alone. This is now beginning to happen daily.

    The log in attempts come from China, Brazil, South Africa, Argentina and so on..... do you seriously expect me to believe that someone is managing to try and log in using my credentials accidentally from multiple countries around the world every day??

    Microsoft should be doing something about investigating this if it is reported to them as happening with such regularity.

    I used to work in tech support so I'm not entirely clueless, but I have also visited the link provided "Click link below for few things you can do to make your Microsoft account more secured: https://support.microsoft.com/help/628538c2-7006-33bb-5ef4-c917657362b9". I haven't seen anything suggested that I am not already doing.

    I have a full paid-for protection package, secure e-mail, extremely difficult to guess 32 digit random passwords for everything (I don't think a human could guess them!) but yet I still get these OTP mails - up to 3 times a day, and from up to 3 different countries on the same day.

    I have dark web monitoring set up and my e-mail address has never been reported as found. I don't use any social media.

    It's really rather concerning. Is there NOTHING that can be done other than to flippantly say "If you didn't ask for it then don't worry, just ignore it" ?

    I'm a Microsoft user like you, I hope you're doing well.

    I understand how discomforting it can be to receive a one-time security code for your account when you didn't initiate.

    However, it's a good idea to ignore this code if you haven't requested it.

    "One-time code is an essential security feature that prevents unauthorized access to your account. One-time code is required to access your account. These codes can be used only once and have expiration time for their usage.

    You may receive one-time code emails if:

    1. Signing into your Microsoft account from a new device or browser.
    2. Resetting your Microsoft account password.
    3. Making changes to your Microsoft account security information.
    4. Signing into your Microsoft account from a new location.
    5. Unusual and suspicious activity is detected on your Microsoft account.

    If someone mistakenly enters your account email ID, you can't stop them, that's out of your control (you don't know who it is), All you can do is ignore it, as suggested in the email.

    The same applies if someone may be trying to intentionally access your Microsoft account, a one-time code is a security feature that prevents this unauthorized access.

    It could also be a bug".

    You don't control the actions of others; hence you can't stop it.

    If there was a way to stop it, Microsoft would state it in an email rather than suggesting you ignore it any one-time code you did not initiate.

    I will suggest you check your Microsoft account sign-in activity to make sure there is no unauthorized access. You can see a list of devices and browsers that have accessed your account recently.
