I'm missing the option "More security options."
How can it be?

My problem is that I do not want to sync my outlook.com email account across my iPhone and my MacBook. I prefer to delete mail off of my phone and keep the mail on my Mac. To accomplish this in the past, I have used app passwords to separate the email account across devices. To attempt this on my iPhone 15, I generated a new app password and attempted to use it to setup my outlook email account. However, when I try to set up my email account, I am sent to the Microsoft outlook login page and an app password does not work. The Microsoft login only accepts the actual password for my account. I have been unable to use the app password for either my Mac or my iPhone. I do have two factor authentication set up and I am wondering if this is what is effecting my outcome.

How can it be?
Thank you for the reply, but step 2 is where I get stuck. Because I select an outlook email, I am directed to a Microsoft link where it asks for the user name and then the password. After placing the app password in so I can log in, I receive a message that my user name and/or password are incorrect; and login fails. I have tried this on my MacBook and my iPhone, I have tried deleting and restarting each device, and I have confirmed both user name and app password numerous time. I have also tried deleting all app passwords, restarting, and generating new app passwords with same result.
I was using an app password for several years, but after a recent update, my email was logged out and I had to re-sign back in. My app password did not work and I have not been able to get it to work again.
