A family of Microsoft spreadsheet software with tools for analyzing, charting, and communicating data
Hi
My license is E3 and it definitely works on Mac.
The browser-based apps work the same on Mac and Windows.
Desktop apps that are Windows-only work only on Windows, but as Bob points out, you can install Parallels desktop and run them in a virtual machine, if needed.
Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook are mostly the same Mac and Windows, but there are substantial differences when it comes to specific features. Windows apps lack the most basic element you would expect: Menu Bar. Anything that requires windows (COMM add-ins, Active-X, etc) won't work on Mac.
I use my Mac Office apps almost exclusively, but there are times I need to do things that only the Windows version has. Thankfully, that's only once or twice a month, for which Parallels works great for me.
