Word Save as Adobe PDF add-in

We use MS 365 and a user has Save as Adobe PDF add-in.

When they use that to save a word document to be converted to PDF it takes a long time for it to convert/save over. Is this an issue with this add-in? or is there a way to speed/make it convert faster? This add-in takes about 30-40 seconds longer. There are no errors, but performance of word drops and starts to become laggy.

When I test it with the standard export in Word to create Adobe PDF it instantly creates it within a few seconds.

Is there a fix to this or should the add-in not be used and use export instead?

First, your user can use the standard Save As command and pick .pdf as the file type. It should work the same as on your other systems. The user can also use Microsoft Print to PDF to produce a pdf.

Save As Adobe pdf is a command produced by the Adobe Acrobat program and the Add-In it adds to Word. As John pointed out, this is a Microsoft forum and the place to get help for that is Adobe's customer support.

Adobe Acrobat is not a Microsoft product. Please post your question in Adobe's Acrobat Community Forum, where you may be able to get an answer to your question.

Ok, that makes a bit more sense, but it just seems like a back and forth between Word and Adobe, where they point fingers at each other to find a resolution.

    Thank you.

This is an Word Add-in. Not sure why it wouldn't apply to Word having some work in it, I can see if I was using Adobe to convert to a Word doc.
