How do I remove a border on a Word document when printing?

Good morning,

I'm trying to create a letterhead template. I have an image that is in the upper corner of the sheet. I've set the borders to 0 and I've set the printing to borderless, however, there is still a border along the left edge of the document when I do a print preview. How do I adjust the settings so the image is against the corner and there aren't any borders?

Thanks,

Tracy

    Hello Tracy,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

I understand you want to remove the border on a Word document when printing, you may try the following steps:

    • In your Word document, select the image that is in the upper corner of the sheet.
    • Go to the "Format" tab or right-click on the image and select "Picture Format"
    • set the "Wrap Text" to "In front of text."
    • Check if there is any border applied to the image. If there is, set the border options to "No line" or remove it completely.
    • Click "OK" to save the changes.

Additionally, ensure that the page margins are set to zero so that there are no additional borders or spaces around the document. You can adjust the page margins by going to the "Layout" tab and selecting "Margins."

Once you have made these adjustments, try doing a print preview again to see if the border is removed.

If the issue persists, may I know if this issue happens in a specific document? If you try a new document, does it work? If not, could you please share with us your Word App version? (File>Account>Product Information)

Look forward to your reply. Thanks for your time and cooperation!
