When I am creating some notes, I always adjust the margin of the textbox (Fig 1) but it is so annoying to click mulitple buttons to do so. May I know what is the name of the command (Fig 2) of the above function? I cannot find a relative one. Thank you.

The dialog box in Fig 2 comes from File > Options > Customize ribbon > Customise

    Workaround:

Save a text box with your margin settings to the Text Box Gallery.

    1. Select the Text Box
    2. Insert Tab
    3. Text Box > Add to Text Box Gallery
    4. Assign a name. I recommend starting the name with an underscore so it will appear at the top of the gallery.
    5. Create a new category, also beginning with an underscore.

Are you looking for the command to assign a keyboard shortcut? To create a macro?

    Dear Anson.cym

Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community.

Thank you for using our product and sharing your experience.

You mentioned the need to click multiple buttons when adjusting text box margins, and I understand that this can be inconvenient. The command you are looking for, for adding a button directly to the ribbon to adjust text box margins, is not currently available in Word's default settings. This is part of Word's design, as it usually relies on right-clicking on a text box and choosing "Format Text Box" to adjust the margins, or changing the text box margins via the "Format" tab under "Drawing Tools". under "Drawing Tools" to adjust margins, or through the "Format" tab under "Drawing Tools" to change the properties of the text box.

We did check to see if there were alternatives available to simplify this process, but unfortunately there are currently no direct commands or options that can be added to the ribbon to accomplish this. However, you can add some frequently used commands by customizing the Quick Access Toolbar to slightly simplify the process.

If you think this feature would be helpful to you and other users, we encourage you to suggest it through Word's feedback channel. Your feedback is important to our product improvements, and the development team regularly reviews user feedback and considers incorporating it into future updates.

To provide feedback, you can submit your suggestions by clicking on the "File" option in Word and then selecting "Feedback". Thank you for your understanding and support, and please feel free to contact us if you have additional questions or need further assistance.Best Regards,Maxine | Microsoft Community Support Specialist
