How To remove All Formatting in Selected Text in Word

Sometimes I need to remove all formatting of text I wish to paste into a Word document. Or maybe I need to select specific text in Word and remove all formatting.

So far, the only way I have found to do this is to paste the text into a text file, and then copy and paste it back into Word.

I wonder if there is an easier or faster way to do this within Word?

Your advice would be appreciated.

Kind regards

Chris

To paste unformatted text, press Ctrl+Shift+V instead of Ctrl+V.

To remove formatting from existing text:

    Select the text.

Press Ctrl+spacebar to reset the character formatting to that of the applied style.

Press Ctrl+Q to reset the paragraph formatting to that of the applied style.
