When is the // link not opening the phone dialer like it used to going to be fixed?

Meanwhile, I get an Android notification that Onenote created a "memory folder" for me?

So let me understand this. Onenote goes through the photos on my phone without my permission, selects a photograph at random, copies it to Onenote which uses up my storage, again, without my permission, and creates a memory folder?

    ****???

So something useful that has worked for years - dialing a number on a phone from Onenote - and is now broken - that the developers can't be bothered to fix. But create memory folders, whatever that is - that they have time for?

    Give me a break.

This also used to work for me and has been broken for several months.

<number> now just opens about:blank. Seems to be tied to how it sends the link to Chrome. See https://community.brave.com/t/tel-link-opens-about-blank-page-not-phone-app-anymore/76532/3

    Hi,

    Same here.

I have been using Onenote for Android for at least 10 years.

Before when I formatted a link as //xxx-xxx-xxxx (with or without the "//"), and tapped on the link. it would open up the phone dialer so you could dial the number. This is a very useful feature to have on a cell phone.

Sometime in the past month or two, this was broken. Clicking on a tel: link now opens up the default Web browser.

Please fix this so that it opens up the phone dialer. Again, it worked this way for many years.

    Thank you

    Hello, Denis_635.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community!

Regarding the issue you mentioned about clicking on the OneNote link only redirecting to the web browser, since OneNote sets hyperlinks in the form of URLs when specifying them, in general, it can only redirect to a web browser. Could you please share with us how your link is specifically set up? If there are no other special settings, it is typically set up as a hyperlink. We also do not know the specific method to directly set up a phone number link.

In such cases, the only recommendation we can offer is to long-press the link and see if there is a direct option to open it with the phone program.

Another option you may have is to click on the three dots in OneNote and send feedback directly to Microsoft; this way, the OneNote development team will see it directly. Alternatively, you could contact your phone manufacturer to inquire if there is such a feature available.

    Best Regards,
