Hello Everyone,

I have a team member at work that is having issues uploading files to Sharepoint. They are receiving errors that states "new DataView(t).setBigUint64 is not a function. (In 'new DataView(t).setBigUint64(e... 'new DataView(t).setBigUint64' is undefined"

Can anyone please advise on the proper course to rectify this?

    Hi Oliver,

    Sorry for my late reply.

As far as I know, this should be not caused by the region. You can have the user use another browser and then check again. Also, you can remove this user's permission Or remove him from the team, then re-grant the permission or add him back to the team. After that, please check again.

If the problem persists, I suggest you contact your IT team and raise a support ticket to troubleshoot the problem further.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,

Thanks for the response. My staff member is using Safari on a Mac. This team member is also in China. Will these factors influence these issues?

    Hi Oliver,

Thanks for posting in the community. We are happy to help you.

Based on the error message, it indicates that the browser or environment where the code is running does not support the setBigUint64 method of the DataView object. I would like to know how the user uploaded files. Did he go to the SharePoint library in the browser and upload files directly?

If not, please point it out and let us know.

If so, I suggest you have the user update the browser to the latest version Or use another browser, like Edge, and then check again. Also, if only one team member is experiencing the issue, I suggest you remove this user's permission Or remove him from the team, then re-grant the permission or add him back to the team and check again.

If the above suggestions don't help, to troubleshoot the issue further, I suggest you raise a support ticket via the Microsoft 365 Admin Center> Support> New service request. The support team there has the correct channel and resources to help you investigate more and find what exactly the reason has caused this problem at the backend.

    Appreciate your understanding and patience.

    Sincerely,
