HOW TO INSTALL .NET FRAMEWORK 4.8.1 on Windows 10

Hi everyone, I come up with difficulty in installing .NET FREAMWORK 4.8.1, and I am here seeking for some help.

I need to run an exe that requires .NET FREAMWORK 4.8.1, but when I install .NET 4.8.1, it tells me that “This operating system does not support. NET Framework 4.8.1.”

By checking my computer configuration, i found i am using WINDOWS 10, and the .NET version already installed is 4.7 (release reg_dword is 461814). The hardware configuration required to install the .NET 4.8.1 seems to be all met in my computer.

I tried to find solution but failed, so i will be sincerely grateful if someone can help me fix this problem.

Hi, please check the table in the link below to see if your version of Windows meets the requirements for installing the .NET Framework 4.8.1.

Windows 10 October 2020 Update (version 20H2) or newer.

Supported client operating systems
