Can I turn off Mini toolbar in Microsoft Excel Online while editing in my browser?

I'm using Microsoft Edge to edit my excel files. Whenever I select texts inside a cell, there's a mini toolbar showing up:

Firstly it doesn't have the copy option that I need the most.

Secondly it sometimes overrides my Ctrl + C, and I have nothing to paste somewhere else.

The most annoying part of this the browser version doesn't seem to have the option to turn this off

This is the File - Options, it's empty. Can someone help me here?

    Hello Mikey,

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

I understand that you would like to turn off the mini toolbar in Excel Online that appears when the contents of a cell are selected.

We understand that this has caused some inconvenience and disturbance to your work.

However, we regret to inform you that this toolbar is the default setting in Office Online, including Excel, and cannot be changed at this time.

The mini toolbar in Excel Online is designed to provide quick and easy access to commonly used formatting commands, thereby increasing the efficiency of users editing workbooks in a web browser. This design takes into account the convenience of users editing on mobile devices or tablets, as well as the ease with which users can still perform basic formatting in the absence of full-featured desktop software.

Here's an explanation of why Office chose this design:

    1. Consistent user experience: The mini toolbar is consistent across different Office Online applications such as Word Online and PowerPoint Online, which helps users have a consistent experience across applications.

    2. Mobile device and touchscreen friendly: The mini-toolbar is convenient for users with touchscreens because it reduces the number of times they need to access traditional toolbars or menus.

    3. Quick access: The mini toolbar provides quick access to the most commonly used formatting commands, which increases user productivity.

At the same time, it is unfortunate that Excel Online has some feature limitations relative to the desktop version of Excel. Some of the deep customization options available in the desktop version may not be available in the online version, including the option to turn off certain user interfaces.

If you feel the need to set an on/off switch for this functionality, we recommend that you provide your feedback to Microsoft through Excel · Community (microsoft.com). The Office development team is committed to collecting user feedback and making continuous improvements to the product.

After submitting, please share the comment link here, as this will allow other forum members to vote on your submitted question, including me. More votes will increase the attention and prioritization of the development team.

Thank you again for your feedback, it means a lot to Microsoft!

    Best wishes

Well, I'm having a consistent user experience that the ctrl+C command doesn't work properly, and as far as I research, the mini toolbar may be the reason why. This is really annoying...
