Hello.
Thank you for responding to my query.
Attached is an image of the Order History display panel that appears w/in my order history, as relative to this order.
Clicking on any of the names of the respective thumbnail app images that appear therein, leads to a separate / independent webpage, for separately &/or further ordering any of those individual apps, as separate, stand-alone desktop apps, as well, if so desired.
And of course, each of those web pages also, in turn, individually includes an additional ordering panel, as well, offering the customer to " Save when you get (Word, Excel or PowerPoint) with Microsoft 365 (starting at a further reflected monthly charge, as also reflected therein, " with further / respective " Buy for business " and " Buy for Home " tabs also of course incorporated, into such, as well - which all the more just essentially contributes to Microsoft’s incessantly never-ending promotional campaign, to once again continue with trying to shove the Microsoft 365 paid / subscription platform down everyone's throat via further trying to convince &/or encourage customers to sign up for &/or purchase such, as well, as also earlier deferred to.
VERY PROVOCATIVELY and INCESSANTLY AGGRAVATING AND ANNOYING, BEYOND WORDS.
That being said, and as relative to such, clicking on the name of the "Microsoft 365 (Office)" thumb-nail image that appears within the order history panel, as shown (i.e., beneath the Word, Excel and PowerPoint entries therein), also leads, as well, or in turn - and as specifically relative to such - to a Microsoft 365 (Office) " Download " page, (with a web address of https://apps.microsoft.com/detail/9wzdncrd29v9?hl=en-us&gl=US) - which then further includes an additional "Description" panel, that I now see, which provides a clarificational explanation of the correlative Microsoft 365 (Office) entry that's also been incorporated &/or added into my order history page, as already aforementioned and complained about, herein throughout – which reads, as follows:
“The Microsoft 365 app is home to all your favorite productivity apps and content. Now, with new ways to help you find, create, share and save your content, all in one place. Just sign in with your work, school, or personal Microsoft account to start using the free desktop app today.
Use the Microsoft 365 app to:
• Focus on your tasks and quickly access documents shared with you or recently edited on the Home screen.
• Create beautiful content for any project or occasion using free templates across apps like Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Clipchamp, and more.
• Find your files and save them securely in OneDrive with 5 GB of free cloud storage with automatic content backups across your devices.
• Access your favorite Microsoft 365 apps in one place including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, OneNote, Visio, and so much more. "
So – based upon that, if I understand correctly (and as somewhat earlier deferred to via the second-to last paragraph of my initial, opening query / complaint, above) – what this essentially means, on a fundamental level, is that Microsoft’s “adding ” their inclusion of the Microsoft 365 (Office) entry into the order history page, for my order, basically equates to an effort on their part to further offer &/or include, or promote, the Microsoft 365 platform, by availing a further avenue, to ALSO download and install their “free Microsoft 365 app,” for additional usage, via the web (with the potential / further benefits that would theoretically go along with such, like unpaid, additional access to other / additional apps, free cloud storage etc., and as well, if so desired . . . all of which, in my thinking, would, or could, eventually lead to a need for additional / future Microsoft 365 related purchases &/or subscription related facet considerations – NONE of which I was either ever looking for, or wanted, or want, as earlier &/or initially referred to and elaborated on hereinabove, and throughout,
“ SO, IS THAT CORRECT? “
INCLUSION, OR INCORPORATION OF SUCH TYPES OF PROMOTIONAL SUCH OFFERS, SHOULD NOT BE ARBITRARILY ADDED TO CUSTOMERS’ PURCHASE ORDER HISTORY PAGES WITHOUT CUSTOMERS’ PRIOR, AUTHORIZED CONSENT, IN ADVANCE, AS, IF THIS IS THE CASE – THEN ONCE AGAIN, SUCH IS VERY PROVOCATIVELY and INCESSANTLY AGGRAVATING AND (EXTREMELY) ANNOYING, BEYOND WORDS
This Microsoft 365 (Office) app promo/offer was nowhere presented as being included within the context of the specific info that was presented as directly pertaining to exactly what is was that I was ordering (i.e., the [“stand alone”] version of Office Home & Student 2021, and it should NEVER have been just arbitrarily added to my order history page, as relative to such – and I WILL NEITHER BE DOWNLOADING NOR USING THAT AP it, because IT”S NOT anything that I wanted – as it in fact goes beyond what I wanted or what I need. That’s why I chose and ordered what I did (i.e., the stand alone version, Office Home & Student 2021), ONLY.
So, can you Please advise that I am now understanding correctly, as stated &/or elaborated upon, above?
PS: ALSO, if I am understanding correctly, and that “Free app / download” would also essentially, really only translate into “ one-month free trial of a Microsoft 365 subscription ”, as deferred to by you above, in your initial reply, and if so, where would I find that specified, as relative to such . . . or to be clear, would that in fact, not be the case, in this scenario, as relative to the further info that I’ve now provided?
Thank you, again.![](https://learn-attachment.microsoft.com/api/attachments/ef0e1a31-9dee-4d26-bde3-8c7ce21c9f70?platform=QnA
