I have recently undertaken a survey with suppliers who have ranked what matters to them the most from 1 - 9. Each supplier has a different rank and trying to show this on a bar chart is driving me crazy as I just don`t understand it.

I presume it is the rank formula but I just cant seem to get it to work.

Please can you help with this as I am not very good at excel. I have attached a screenshot below

Rank 1. Strategic Planning and Programme Optimisation 2. Programme Management 3. Supply Chain Management, Integration and Development 4. Project Management & Controls (PMO) 5. Construction & Site Management 6. Site Services (Jobs & Tasks) 7. Engineering & Design 8. Design Managemen 9. Other
Supplier A 1 4 3 5 2 8 6 7
Supplier B 1 3 4 5 6 7 8 9

    Hello

Do you want to calculate the average ranking of something for all vendors and rank things based on those average rankings.

Thank you very much for your response Mark and although it was useful. I would like to show the rank based on the number of suppliers who have placed each number in their various orders and collated it. Is there a Ranking formula or what if formula I would need to use?

For example Supplier A has ranked No.1 as No.2 and Supplier B has ranked No.2 as 1. How do I show the average rank.

    Hello Mateus Rodrigues Braga

    Welcome to the Microsoft Community.

Based on your description, it seems that you need to create bar charts for the tables. Please correct me if I have misunderstood.

Step 1: You can select the whole table and click “Insert” in the menu bar to open the icon extension.

Step 2: Select the first bar and click OK.

The two colors of this bar represent the different vendors, the vertical labels represent the things to be ranked, and the horizontal labels represent the ranking of each thing. You can observe the vertical labels against a color (vendor) for each event, corresponding to the length (ranking).

In addition, you can reverse the orientation of the bars by following the steps below. Right-click on the image, check Properties, and switch the orientation of the bars.

In this case, the bar chart is divided into two parts according to different providers. In the upper part, the vertical columns correspond to the events, and the horizontal columns correspond to the rankings.

Thanks for your patience and understanding!

    Best wishes
