Ctrl + Alt + M Opening Magnifier Settings

Hello,

I am running into an issue in Microsoft PowerPoint.

For as long as I have been using PPT, Ctrl + Alt + M has been the keyboard shortcut to create a new comment. However, today, after no updates, completely unprompted, when I input Ctrl + Alt + M, my PC opens up the magnifier settings (screenshot attached).

After about a half hour of research I have come up with no solutions. Is there anyway that I can change either shortcut so that they are not the same thing, allowing me to use comments in PPT again?

Thanks so much in advance for your help.

No screenshot here, I'm afraid. Try just pasting it into your reply instead of using the image tool on the toolbar here.

If this is the Windows Magnifier, it uses Ctrl+Alt+M to cycle through different magnifier views, and probably "grabs" the keystrokes before any other programs (e.g. PowerPoint) "see" them.

If you don't need to use Windows Magnifier, quit it; that should give the shortcut sequence back to PowerPoint. If you need a magnifer AND want to use the same shortcut keys for comments, you might need to find an alternate magnifier program.

    Windows 10? 11?

It's not possible to customize PowerPoint keyboard shortcuts except with a paid third-party add-in.
