I had a HP laptop with pre-installed Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2019. I have upgraded to Windows 11, and now all of my office apps are nowhere in search/start menu.

I have signed into my office account with the same email id as when I first accessed the office apps. But I don't seem to have an active subscription for Microsoft 365 now. I have also tried to repair and reset the Microsoft Office 365 app but still no use. Any help on this would be appreciated.

Depending on how you upgraded your computer to Windows 11, you may have lost the preinstalled version of Office 2019. Note that a product name which includes Office indicates a perpetual license, not a subscription.

If Office 2019 was previously associated with an account of yours at https://account.microsoft.com/services, you should be able to reinstall it from there.

The Microsoft 365 (Office) app does not give you access to a full subscription version, only to the Office dashboard.

    You are welcome.

I'm glad you were able to install a fully functioning version of Office.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I was assuming I needed Office 365 which I didn't have. I went to the link that you shared (Services and Subscriptions) where I could find my Office 2016 product and I installed it. All works fine now. Thanks a ton!!
