Can a certificate be used for Microsoft Outlook authentication?

I'm searching for solutions for sign-in, not for encryptions.

Thanks,

Soumen

    Hi @Soumen Bose ,

Can a certificate be used for Microsoft Outlook authentication?

Are you talking about the certificate-based authentication (CBA)? If this is the case, I am afraid no, it's currently not supported in Outlook that is running on Windows. More details, refer to:

Outlook can't connect to an Exchange server that uses certificate validation on a network device

Which kind of mailbox that you try to configure in Outlook client?

Could you tell us why you want to use certificate validation?

If you want to ensure the security of login, you could enable MFA for your mailbox.

If you want to replace the password authenticate, you could configure the “Microsoft Authenticator” APP to replace the password.
