If I embed the link, will the excel file be easy to update as needed?

Hello,
I am working on a project that involves me inserting Worksheets from Excel into Word. The current steps I am using are:
I then resize image in Word by:
The link then looks great. If I print it looks correct and print to PDF it also looks correct. After saving and closing I feel confident that the image and link is correct. Later, I will reopen the document for more editing and my links are either not linked and distorted. If I double click the link it almost alerts the link to wake up and work. But it's distorted after so I have to delete the OLE Link and re-add to the word document.
Does anyone have a solution so I can add my link from Excel to Word and know this will not change after closing the document.
Thank you for your help.

Dear Leann Geyer,
I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with OLE links in Word. One possible solution is to try embedding the Excel worksheet instead of linking it:
By embedding the Excel worksheet, you won't have to worry about the link breaking or becoming distorted when you reopen the Word document.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation! Have a great day.
Sincerely,
