how to switch from Microsoft 365 Family to Personal

THIS IS WRONG INFORMATION!

If you add a personal subscription code into a Family subscription, it will pro-rate the personal subscription at several months extension on your family plan - so adding one year personal to a family subscription will extend family by several months.

Always be wary of Microsoft advice! It is often WRONG!

You need to cancel your subscription from the office.com portal, under manage your subscription and will give you the option to change your subscription to personal.

I already have it i have to wait for my subscription to be over and that's on the 22nd of February I need it switched over immediately to personal

I doesn't work. It never works. They intentionally make it almost impossible. In another place they instruct you to cancel your auto-renewal and then re sign up for personal account. But when you try to do that, you are threatened that you will lose all your account data and info and everything. It sucks. I hate them.

This isn't working for me. I get the message that it conflicts with an existing subscription. It refers me back to my account page.

Please advise.
