If anyone is having this issue, I recommend this link: https://www.thewindowsclub.com/how-to-remove-work-or-school-account-in-windows

I was able to disconnect an old school account through the "Access work or school" settings page - since I no longer had access to the email.

Below steps works for me in Win 11.

    1. Go to Settings => Accounts
    2. "Access work or school"
    3. Click the account that you want to remove. Click "Disconnect"

Your account should be disconnected and removed from win 11.

Method1 does not work as when you select the account, windows force you to sign in. Since account is expired, user can't sign in.

None of these choices works for my Windows 10 laptop with active MS Office 365 subscription. Worthless.
