While I was checking a setting for timeout to lockscreen, I noticed there was a different icon on one of the settings:
On Machine inactivity limit there is a PC / printer icon, while the rest are just binary or something. I was wondering what this means?
We've been having some problems with applying a policy for this and I'm wondering if this icon difference has something to do with it.

Did you configure the same policy with different value for this machine in the domain? Or can you change the 3600 value via Local Group Policy Editor?
What is the operating system version of this machine? Please run winver to check.

No, all of them should be the same. We only have 1 policy that sets this value, and it is applied to everything, as it is in the root OU. I can change it with the local group policy editor.
I'm not trying to figure out how to change it locally or via group policy, I can already do that. I'm just wondering what the icon means, and if it's affecting anything else, as we've had some problems with policies.

Some of our machines have this icon in their local group policy editor and some do not. So that's what made me curious.

I haven't seen this icon before, nor have I had it in my own test environment.

The ones that had the computer icon instead of the binary code icon seemed to not get updated by our policy. I had to manually change the values on the machine.
However, other computers in the same OU don't have the same problem. I'm wondering if at some point that has been manually set on the PC and the setting from the GPO is getting overwritten by a local setting, and that's why it didn't update from gpupdate.
And if that's the case, how to remove the local override.

The "Machine inactivity limit" icon signifies that this user right IS being managed by Group Policy.
The "Message Text for users attempting to log on" icon signifies that this user right IS NOT being managed by Group Policy.
