I have a student ID and I want to install Microsoft 365 onto my Mac desktop with the 365 app. But when I try to download through the App Store it forces me to purchase instead of allowing me to login. None of the support suggestions provide any clarity to this.

    Dear respected,

We went through your post carefully and to verify if you are granted with the valid license to use Office desktop apps on Mac under your school account, please login My account (office.com) and check if the highlighted license is there. Please note that A1 subscription will not include this. Microsoft 365 for Education | Microsoft Education

If you are seeing the license but unable to install, please share more screenshots of the error message for further troubleshooting. If there has no license called "The latest desktop version of Office", then please contact the school IT department to assign you the A3/A5 license so that you can install and activate Office on your Mac.

We appreciate your kind patience and understanding that sometime the initial reply may not resolve the concern immediately or there may have some misunderstanding about your scenario, but we would like to hear the updates from your side and let's figure out the further suggestions.

We'll be here for you to wait for your updates. I appreciate your time and effort on checking these above and thank you for your time and cooperation. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,
