Can't hide "Flagged email" tab on Microsoft To Do for iPhone.

I can't hide the "Flagged email" tab on iPhone. I don't have Outlook connected, so the option in settings to turn it off is not available. This tab is not visible on the Windows To Do app.

    Hello, Scott_12345689

    Thanks for trying those steps.

It might be a problem with specifical account. Please try adding an alias (@oulook) and sign in To Do with the new alias.

    1. Sign out of To Do.
    2. Log in with your personal Microsoft account in Microsoft account | Your profile.
    3. Click on Your Infotab on the left of the page.
    4. Under Account Info, click Edit account info on the right.Image
    5. Under Account alias, click Add email. Image
    6. Select the Create a new email address and add it as an alias option.
    7. Type an email address and remember it.
    8. Click on Add alias.
    9. Make it as the main alias. Image
    10. Sign in To Do with this new alias and your password.
    11. See if there is a “Flagged email” option and turn it off. If it works, you can remove this alias.

If it doesn't work, I'm afraid that you need to get a trial of Microsoft 365.

Notice that after getting the Microsoft 365 subscription for one-month free, please go to Microsoft account | Services & subscriptions and cancel the auto-renewal for this subscription to avoid unnecessary expenses.

Hello. I tired logging into my work account only and the "Flagged email" option was off by default.

I even installed To Do on my ipad and logged into my personal account. The Flagged email tab is still on the home screen and there is no way to turn it off. It seems like it's only happening to my ios devices.

    Hello, Scott_12345689

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your time and efforts spending on this issue.

It may be a problem with multiple accounts. I have another test here.

    • When I only sign in a personal account, the “Flagged email” option is shown as the pictures in my previous reply.
    • When I only sign in a work account, the “Flagged email” option is under “Connected apps".

So, could you please sign out both accounts and only sign in with your work account?

Then if you see the “Flagged email” option in settings, please turn it off.

Will this work? I'm looking forward to your reply.

    Best wishes,

Hi Lucia, thank you for your response.

Yes I have tried everything mentioned a couple of times without any luck. I even tried the web version of To Do and the "Flagged email" tab is not there (same as the Windows App).

It seems like the only option is to get a trial of Microsoft 365 to enable the Flagged emails option under Connected Apps. This seems like a convoluted workaround though.

I did switch between my work and personal list under Manage Accounts. Perhaps that did something with the settings in the background?

    Hello, Scott_12345689

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

I realize that you have encountered a problem with hiding “Flagged email” tab in To Do for iPhone, and I understand how you feel.

    1. I know that you don’t have the “Flagged email” option under “Connected apps". We have tested in the same version of To do here. Please check Settings > General > Watch App Settings > see if the “Flagged email” option there. If so, turn it off.
    2. If not, please Sign Out from To do and Sign in again. See if the problem still exists.
    3. If it doesn’t work, try uninstalling To Do and reinstalling To Do from APP Store.

I hope my reply will help you. Feel free to post back if you need further assistance.

    Best wishes,
