Hi, I have conducted several interviews via MS Teams, downloaded all the interviews' recordings, and uploaded the recordings on One Drive to be accessible to the whole team. Our project lead is asking me if I can prepare the MP4 files for all the recorded interviews. Can you assist me in how to do that?

    Dear Sebina RD,

    Thank you for reaching out.

To assist with preparing your MS Teams recording files as MP4 files, here are the steps you can follow:

    1. Check the Recording Format: MS Teams automatically records meetings in MP4 format. Please check the file extension of the downloaded recordings to confirm. If they are already in MP4 format, they are ready for sharing.

    2. Convert Recordings (if necessary):
If your recordings are in a different format (such as WebM), you can convert them to MP4 using either:

    • Online video converters: Websites like CloudConvert or Zamzar allow you to upload and convert your files.
    • Software tools: Applications like HandBrake or VLC Media Player can be used for file conversion.

For example, using VLC Media Player:

    • Open VLC and go to Media > Convert/Save.
    • Add the recording file.
    • Click Convert/Save and select MP4 as the output format.
    • Choose a destination for the file and click Start to begin the conversion.

    3. Prepare for Sharing:
Once your recordings are in MP4 format, you can rename and organize them as needed before uploading them to OneDrive or SharePoint for your team.

Please feel free to let me know if you need further assistance.

    Best regards,

    Sophia
