Dear Lincoln Flowers,

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to help you.

As per your description, it seems that you are having issue with External sharing in SharePoint, invitations not received.

If the understanding above is right, please check if there's an email notification sent to your mailbox as your account will be in Cc'ed once the invitation is sent.

If yes, please let the external user check if anything can be found in Junk, please also check if there's any block set on their end. - "THERE WAS NOTHING RELATED TO THIS IN THE JUNK MAIL FOLDER"!

If no invitation is sent to your mailbox, we're afraid that issue could be related to your account or the tenant background service which need to be checked from the backend. As forum support, we may not have enough permission and resource to directly check the backend environment.

We've noticed that you post this thread under "For Business" category, " THIS WAS A MISTAKE ON MY PART" APOLOGIES....

we suppose you may use a work/school account with M365 subscription provided by the organization.

In this situation, we sincerely recommend you contact your Microsoft 365 administrator, follow steps in this article to create a support ticket with Online Support. The support team over there has higher permission than us, they can remotely help check the situation on your side, involve more resource to collect logs and help you do troubleshoot. This would be a more efficient way in handling this case for you.

For reference: How do I find my Microsoft 365 admin?

Sorry for the inconvenience again. Your patience and understanding are highly appreciated. Hope you stay safe and healthy.

Sincerely,

Rhoda | Microsoft Community Moderator

"I have resolved this by sending the raw link which the received in a fraction of a second".

You are probably right on the backend checkbox thing. I've always trusted Microsoft keeping their services tight, coordinated and always on point. Not sure why they are dropping the ball now....

    Dear Lincoln Flowers,

Thanks for posting back and sharing updates with us. We're glad to hear that you've resolved the issue by sending the raw link. We will mark your reply as answer to help other members in this community find it more efficiently.

If you're willing, we'd still recommend you contact Online Support team with M365 admin privileges to collect HAR log and analyze from backend service for further investigation.

    Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

    Best Regards,

    Rhoda
