Staff that are linked to 2 different (of more) booking pages from different departments get double bookings in their outlook calendar and bookings calendar. How can we make sure this is no longer possible?

    Hello Jessica Simoens

    Thanks for the update

I will investigate it from my side as well and keep you posted on the finding on the above if weather it will require to raise a ticket with the technical team since they have better tools to run diagnostic from backend to check what could be causing the issue.

    thank you for the reply.
Customers can choose a specific staff member to book a meeting. So this is checked in the Assign staff

this is also checked on the Booking page options -> Default scheduling policy

You also mentioned "Go to the Bookings page, select the staff member, and set the "Maximum number of bookings per time slot" to 1. This ensures that only one booking can be made per time slot"

I can't seem to find this on our view - do we need to use another setting for this?

Calendar permissions and syncing Outlook & Bookings is checked and these are OK.

    Hello Jessica Simoens

Good day and thanks for reaching our to Microsoft forum community, my pleasure to assist you with the above query

Based on your description, could you please provide conform if the option for customers to select a staff member from the bookings page as an admin, by navigating to the bookings option and under default Staff control uncheck the allow customers to choose a specific person for the Booking.

Secondly, i would suggest you cross check below as well.

    1. Check Calendar Permissions: Ensure that the staff's calendar permissions are set correctly. They should allow others to view their Free/Busy information but not to create events directly. This can help prevent overlapping bookings.
    2. Use Booking Policies: In Microsoft Bookings, you can set booking policies to avoid double bookings. Go to the Bookings page, select the staff member, and set the "Maximum number of bookings per time slot" to 1. This ensures that only one booking can be made per time slot
    3. Synchronize Calendars: Make sure that the staff's Outlook calendar and Bookings calendar are synchronized. This can help ensure that any booking made in one calendar is reflected in the other, preventing double bookings.
    4. Use Conditional Formatting: In Outlook, you can use conditional formatting to highlight double bookings. Go to the View tab, select View Settings, and then Conditional Formatting. Create a new rule to highlight any overlapping events.
    5. Check for Conflicts: Regularly check for conflicts in the staff's calendar. You can do this by viewing the calendar in a schedule view, which shows all events in a timeline format, making it easier to spot overlaps

Thanks so much for you time and look forward to any update from your side.
