My Outlook email days I've used 6.6GB of my free 5GB. However, I recently upgraded to Microsoft Basic for $19.00 + tax annually which give me 100GB of Mailbox Storage. My Outlook email is still locked up and isn't recognizing my purchase of 100GB. What am I not understanding?

Hi @Jonathan R ,

Welcome to our forum!

This is expected behavior. According to the below official article, we can find that:

You have 5 GB of free cloud storage with your Microsoft account shared across your files and photos in OneDrive, attachments in Outlook.com and your Microsoft 365 apps. You also get 15 GB of free Outlook.com email storage which is separate from your Microsoft cloud storage.

hey @ChristyZhang-MSFT I do not get it.

I also have 8GB occupied - all in outlook emails.

It says I have 15GB for emails (but of course the cloud 5GB is exceeded) !!

WHY ?

Are you forcing users to buy onecloud storage this way ??
