I am having issues with snapshots merging on my hyper-v cluster.

When merging occurs even for snapshots that are 1gb or slightly larger it can take up to 6 hours just to complete merging.

I am using Qnap storage for my server 2019 cluster.

    Hello

Thank you for your question and reaching out. I can understand you are having query\issues related to Hyper-V taking time to merge.

Your bottleneck will be disc IO, which takes as long as it does to merge data from a snapshot back into the primary VM.

The size of the snapshot, the kind of RAID set employed, and the drives all play a part.
