How to completely remove borders (and the space they take up) on table cells in Word on Microsoft Office 365 (Word on the web)

Hello,

I am currently writing a resume and using tables with no borders to format some of my text (so i could have split alignment on a single line). However, when I have text that is not in a table underneath the table you can tell that the text in the table does not go all the way to the margins of the document. How can i remove this? I currently have no borders on the cells (they are not colored) but I want to take away any space that the invisible borders take up. I want to make it so the table text is completely in line with the margins.

thank you!

Apparently that is the case. The web apps lack many of the features provided in the desktop software, especially those considered to be advanced options/settings.

    Hi,

Thanks for your answer! I don't see an option for cell margins under table layout. I'm not using the desktop version of word, I'm using the free online Office 365 version - maybe that is why?

What you're dealing with actually is Cell Margins.

Select the Table then use the Cell Margins tool on the Table Layout tab to get into the Table Options then set the Left & Right Margins to 0. [Note that each cell can be dealt with individually if you wish.]
