Could it be made Possible to have the "New Collection" Option Available on all Tabs on Microsoft Forms and not just "My Forms" and "My Groups"

Hi,

I work as an IT Consultant in a school that uses Microsoft Forms, and ran into a few issues, so I have a few questions.

Is there already an option to do this or way to configure this using global admin settings from a Microsoft Admin Centre (Title Question). I would like the "New Collection" option to appear on the "Recent" and "Shared with me" tabs.

Another question about Microsoft Forms. Are collaborators co-owners? if so, then why do Forms not show up under a collaborator's "My Forms" if it is a shared ownership? Again, is there any way that this can be configured using the Microsoft Admin Centre?

Last question, is there any way to make a single collection consisting of sub-collections? For example, if I create a collection and want to put 15 different collections in there. Like a folder with sub-folders.

If none of these functionalities are currently available then, I believe that the platform would greatly benefit from these implementations.

Thank you for your time.

    Dear Customer,

Thank you for reaching out with your questions and for sharing your experience as an IT consultant working with Microsoft Forms. I'll be happy to assist you with your queries.

1.“New Collection” Option on All Tabs: Currently, the “New Collection” option is only available on the “My Forms” and “My Groups” tabs in Microsoft Forms. There isn’t a built-in feature or global admin setting to enable this option on the “Recent” and “Shared with me” tabs. However, I can understand how useful it would be to have that flexibility across all tabs. I would recommend sharing this suggestion with Microsoft through the feedback option in Forms or the user voice feedback website, as your input could help shape future updates.

    2. Collaborators as Co-owners: Collaborators in Microsoft Forms are not considered co-owners. When you share a form for collaboration, the original creator remains the owner, and the form stays in their “My Forms” section. Collaborators can view and edit the form through the shared link, but it won’t appear in their “My Forms” list. To transfer ownership, you would need to manually move the form to another user’s account or group.

    3. Single Collection with Sub-collections: As of now, Microsoft Forms does not support creating sub-collections within a single collection. You can create multiple collections, but they cannot be nested within each other like folders and sub-folders. It’s a great idea to have a way to organize multiple collections in a hierarchy, especially when managing a large number of forms. This is another feature you might want to suggest through the feedback option in Microsoft Forms or the user voice feedback website.

I appreciate your thoughtful suggestions, and I can see how these features could greatly improve workflow efficiency for you and others. I recommend staying tuned to any updates to Microsoft Forms, as Microsoft frequently rolls out new features and improvements.

If you have any further questions or need assistance, please don't hesitate to reach out.

    Thanks again for your time!

    Best regards,
