I have Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.2 - I add folders and documents to my OneDrive in Finder and they are not automatically uploading to my OneDrive on the Cloud. How can I get them to sync automatically? Right now I have to upload everything manually by going into the browser which is not ideal.

It's 2 months since your post and I'm having the same issue. It seems they have a bug they can't resolve. As a company we are going to have to move to Dropbox due to the unreliability of OneDrive.

I just started running into issues with my OneDrive sync app running in MacOS 13.7 this past week. Folder structure suddenly disappeared.

It’s interesting that in the last week there have suddenly been 3 replies expressing similar issues. Perhaps a bug?

    Well, same situation here.

I've already tried the 1.2.3, solutions you mentioned, but none of them worked. Even after reinstalling macOS, the problem persists.

Files uploaded directly to the OneDrive website sync with my MacBook, but files added via Finder on my MacBook do not sync. It just keeps showing 'changes are being processed.'

This issue has been ongoing for over two months, and it's extremely frustrating. Please help me resolve this

    Hi Tina,

Thank you for all these suggestions but they unfortunately didn´t help.

On my old macbook pro I see all the folders but on the new the sync doesn´t work.

It would be great if there is a solution for this problem.

    Best

    Veronika

    Dear Sarah Machacek,

Greetings! Thank you for posting in Microsoft Community.

I'm sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with OneDrive on your Mac. I'd like to help you, please let us cooperate, we can work together to narrow down and resolve the situation.

Firstly, for those folders and documents that haven't synced to OneDrive Cloud, I recommend you back up them to a different folder on your Mac. This helps to avoid losing data.

Then you may try following steps:

1.Restart OneDrive: Sometimes, restarting OneDrive can help resolve syncing issues. To do this, click on the OneDrive icon in the menu bar and select "Quit OneDrive." Wait a few seconds and then open OneDrive again. Put a document into OneDrive folder and see if it will upload to OneDrive Cloud.

2.If it still doesn't sync files, try unlink and re-link OneDrive. For detailed steps, please check Unlink and re-link OneDrive

    1. Reset OneDrive: If none of the above steps work, you can try resetting OneDrive. To do this, please follow steps in this support article Reset OneDrive

If none of these steps work, I understand how frustrating this situation can be and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Let me help you further. I would appreciate if you could share following information:

1.May I know the version of your OneDrive application?

2.Is there any error message when it doesn't sync files to OneDrive Cloud? You may check the OneDrive icon in notification area. If yes, could you please share a screenshot of the error?

3.May I know if it worked before? If yes, when did this issue start happening?

Please understand that our initial reply may not always immediately resolve the issue. However, with your help and more detailed information, we can work together to find a solution.

Thanks for your cooperation and understanding. I hope that you are keeping safe and well!

    Sincerely,

    Tina | Microsoft Community Moderator
