Processes in Microsoft 365 for setting up Office apps, redeeming product keys, and activating licenses.
It removed my Office Home and Business 2013, when I installed Office Professional 2021, but it left Office Professional 2003.

Hi, I've been using Microsoft Office 2013 (with only Word, Excel and Powerpoint) on my Windows 10 laptop with no problem, but it doesn't include Outlook. I recently purchased Outlook separately. It's the 2021 version. I use Outlook only in offline mode (to retrieve some old emails in .pst files).
However it seems like Outlook 2021 and Office 2013 cannot coexist. Installation of Outlook 2021 would remove my Office 2013 installation. Attempts to re-install Office 2013 would cause a 30033-44 error. Is it possible to have them both on my laptop? Office 365 is an absolute no-no because I'll use the machine offline a lot. I need the software installed on my machine.

Yes, I finally managed to install the 64-bit Office 2013.
However, the original problem is still there. This is what happened. My Windows 10 is 64-bit.
If I do it the other way around,

We found a problem!
We found a pre-release or Beta version of an Office product on your computer and can't install because of it.
Please uninstall any pre-release Office software using the Programs and Features item in your Control Panel and try installing again.

In other words, I can't install both Office 2013 and Outlook 2021 in either order.
Hi, yes as Stefan indicated recently Microsoft has made it more difficult to run different version of Office on the same computer at the same time. Microsoft says you can run more than one version See: Install and use different versions of Office on the same PC - Microsoft Support Note the first sentence of this is confusing: "If you have a Microsoft 365 subscription or non-subscription version such as Office Home and Business 2021, 2019, or 2016, in most cases you can't run these versions together on the same computer." (well it was for me). Means Microsoft 365 cannot run with perpetual versions of Office, not that you cannot run perpetual versions together.
Recent problems:
(1) Microsoft tries to remove and sometime does remove older versions of Office, including Office 2013. (when I installed Office 2021 on my other computer it uninstalled my Office 2013)
(2) Microsoft tries to assist users (not always a good thing) by installing the best version for you rather than the one you want.
As per Stefan: “Office (64-bit or 32-bit) couldn’t be installed” error when trying to install - Microsoft Support Note, any Microsoft 64bit software will prevent a 32bit version of Office being installed
Although it has never been officially supported to run multiple versions of Office on the same PC, it can be done. It is possible that Microsoft has made the task more difficult with recent versions, though.
If you want more than one version of Office on the same machine, you have to install the newest version first.
Remember that you have to select the 64 bit version of Office 2013; otherwise it cannot be installed on a PC with Office 2021, which is 64 bit by default, assuming that your Windows is 64 bit. Maybe you have already considered this restriction.
Dear glasgow3,
Thanks for visiting Microsoft Community. I am happy to help you.
I understand that you are unable to use Office2013 and Outlook2021 on the same computer.
Office2013 version is too old and may have compatibility issues with Outlook2021 on your computer, it is recommended that you use the latest version of Office to minimize compatibility issues, also Microsoft 365 can be used offline, as long as your account is subscribed to Microsoft 365, you can use it offline on your computer as in the case of Office 2013 can be used offline on your computer like Office 2013, the online version of Microsoft 365 is a free version and Microsoft 365 has access to the latest features.
