I have a macbook pro and run Windows 365 in One Drive. When I open several documents on my mac in word, it show up as read only and I must duplicate it to edit it. When I check the status of the document it says read and write. When I drag the document to my desktop I am able to edit it.
This happens with old and new word documents. When I used to click "save as" the auto correct would come on. Now it does not.
How do I turn off read only on a mac. Microsoft has help for a PC but not on a mac.
Thank you.
Donna

I would try uninstalling word and reinstalling it. It may work.
I am having the exact same problem - never was a problem before the last few days. It's very frustrating. Is there any workaround that you're aware of?
I believe this was a temporary glitch in OneDrive. Documents were opening in Reading Mode but all that was needed was to click the Edit Document button.
It appears that the issue has been resolved — Have you tried it recently?
I never had this problem before so not sure what changed.
But thanks for you input
