Should I uninstall Microsoft Office if i just purchased Microsoft 365? I noticed I am having trouble signing in and using files. Can I combine both? Thank you Kim

Thank you so much for all your help!!
Hi Kimberly, recently Microsoft has developed bad habit of kicking out (uninstalling) older versions of Office. Microsoft says Micrsoft 365 and perpetual version of Office cannot work on same computer Install and use different versions of Office on the same PC - Microsoft Support. Two different versions of Office cannot be combined. Both will open your files. You definitely would be better off uninstalling the other Office. You have not said which version you have. From Office 2013 you should be able to reinstall your old Office from Services & Subscription the Microsoft Account associated with your Office. What is recommended? Or is there a way I could merge both?
Uninstall any and all prior versions including any Trial, data not effected
