Is this a scam email? It says it’s in US dollars, I’m in Canada. I did not order.

Hello, I received a suspicious email claiming I had ordered Microsoft 365 Business Premium, it shows in US funds, I’m in Canada and never ordered this. I do have a subscription to 365 but nothing like this.

    We understand that you want to inquire about the authenticity of the Microsoft 365 subscription.

    First, you can check whether there are any unknown deduction records, and you can go to theaccount homepage, click [Services and Subscriptions] and [Order History] to check whether Microsoft 365 is displayed.

    And please do not click or call any links and phone numbers mentioned in the email. If you are not sure whether it is true or false, we are worried that you have received a phishing email.

    Therefore, please first confirm whether you have any property losses. If you have not been deducted and there are no sudden subscriptions, you can rest assured for the time being. You can refer to the following links to increase account security.

    If you have been charged, please change your account password immediately to avoid further losses. And because Microsoft communities must now comply with privacy guidelines, we cannot directly assist you with account and subscription issues, so we recommend that you contact the Chat team to investigate the specific circumstances of your subscription and apply for a refund.

    You can attempt to make a new Microsoft account to access online chat support, and get ready with the necessary account and identity evidence. Here are some steps that you can follow: 

    Contact Microsoft Support.

    1. Visit this website: ****Contact - Microsoft Support
    2. Type Contact in the search box there.
    3. Now click Get help, and Select Contact Support below. Image
    4. Go to the Products and services tab, and choose either Microsoft 365 and Office category or Other Products
    5. On the Category tab, choose Manage My Subscription or other alternatives. Image
    6. Go to Confirm.
    7. You can now choose the option of Chat with a support agent on your web browser.

    Please Note: The Chat support team only works at certain times, so if the last window says you are not available, try to open it again the next day. If you prefer phone support, you can leave a phone number. That way, they can call you and help you.
