I am working on a creating a scatter plot in excel and need some help. I am unsure if this is possible but my goal is to create some sort of visual that looks like this but in a chart in excel:

It's ugly, but I can get something like this:
but being a scatter plot I can't get tick marks on the date axis to fall exactly on the 1st of the month

I have tried all other type of chart and no success.
Hope other member in this community can give you suggestions on it.
Is there a way to make the dates on the x axis rather than the y?
