Registering multiple Office product keys to your account.

I have purchased a couple of product keys for Microsoft Office Home & Business ’24, one for each computer I use.

It seems the way you have to activate them is by downloading the installer and then opening an application and activate the product key when you sign in.

However once you’ve activated one licence and then you sign in with the next computer it says there is already a computer using the product key, but it doesn’t give you the option to register another key, it only gives you the option to subscribe to 365, which I don’t want to do as I’ve already got another product key that I want to register.

I don’t seem to be able to get support for this either.

Any suggestions?

Or do I have to create another account to be able to register it to a different email account?

Hi JB, you can redeem up to 25 instances of Office using one Microsoft Account. If you have purchased 2 valid Product Keys, you should not have a problem installing them on 2 computers. Manage multiple one-time-purchase Office installs that use the same Microsoft account - Microsoft Support

Note, it is best to use one Microsoft Account.

    Hello, JB424242.

    Welcome to Microsoft Community.

Managing multiple Microsoft Office Home & Business licenses under a single Microsoft account can be challenging, especially when activation issues arise. Could you please confirm that all the licenses you purchased came from the Microsoft official store?

In the following community thread, Microsoft allows up to 25 Office 2024 licenses on the same account and emphasizes the details of tracking each product key and its corresponding installation, please refer to Rohn007's reply in this thread and the FAQ from Microsoft.

If your product key is already bound to the same Microsoft account, you should see the following list pop up when you initially activate it, asking you to select a license, as shown below:

In your case, if all your devices are Mac devices, please follow the steps below to clean up the Mac license and delete the packages in the current Mac device. For more tutorials, please refer to:

How to remove Office license files on a Mac - Microsoft Support

Uninstall Office for Mac - Microsoft Support

By carefully managing your product keys and associating them correctly with your Microsoft account, you can activate multiple Office Home & Business 2024 licenses across different computers without conflicts. Feel free to let me know if any updates, thanks!

    Best Regards,
