What is the best Microsoft Office choice for home/non-business use only.

I am a retired IT professional who used Microsoft Office regularly during employment. Now that I am no longer working I need some of the same Microsoft Office products for home purposes such as document prep and budgeting and tracking. I have Windows 11 on my PC. Is there an inexpensive or free version of 365 that will suit my limited purposes frugally? I have no interest in having a company email account or being an administrator for an account of one person. Please advise.

You can use the online (browser) versions of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for free. They have fewer features than the desktop versions, but they are pretty capable nowadays, with new features being added regularly.

Otherwise you might investigate LibreOffice. It's a free alternative to Office, and it can read/edit/write Microsoft Office files.

You can use office Android app.

Another option is WPS for both Android and windows.
