Error on loading of DLL.

I have an Access application "Archief" running on a LAN with 4 computers connected.

Since a couple of days one of the computers (which holds the BE) gives an error on startup:

All other computers behave as expected.

If I copy the FE and BE to an USB-stick, and use that stick to run the application, all functions well.

If I open the application using the shift key, all seems good. Only when trying to compile some modified code, it signals also a problem with a DLL, without telling which DLL it is. Again, on the other computers no problem at all.

Removal of the installed Office, and re-install it, does not solve the problem.

That concludes me to suspect a reference to "Visual Basic For Applications" or "Microsoft DAO 3.6 Object Library" as the culprit. Probably the DLL is corrupted for one or the other reason.

My question:

Can I replace the DLL with a fresh copy from an other computer without any further complications?

Imb.

I have supported a client where we simply copied a DLL file from a working computer to a non-working computer. I don’t believe we had to register the DLL.

    Hi Duane,

Thank you for the confirmation of what I hoped.

At least when the file is corrupted.

When the registry is corrupted it becomes a different story, but hopefully I
do not need to go that deep.

Unfortunately, I can only test this next tuesday.
