Select specific elements and export to PDF in PowerPoint

I am familiar with selecting a single slide/slides and exporting them to PDF. However, as I am using PowerPoint to draw figures, exporting the whole slide leaves large margins around the figure. Is it possible for me to select specific elements on one slide and export them into PDF (similar to the existing Select Elements -> Right click -> Save as picture)? Thanks!

Not possible as such, but a somewhat clumsy workaround:

Save a copy of the presentation (so that you can work on a presentation based on the same theme as your actual presentation).

    Working on the copy:

Delete all but one slide and delete all of the content from that one slide.

Change the slide size to match the size of the elements you want to export.

Copy/paste those elements from your original slide to the new resized slide.

Save the new slide as PDF.

Or perhaps better: select the shape(s) in the original file, rightclick, Save As Picture and choose SVG

    Hello. Power_tile

Thank you for posting and providing details in Microsoft Community.

I understand that I would like to know if it is possible to select specific elements in PowerPoint and export to PDF.

After my testing, there is currently no way to select specific elements on a slide in a PowerPoint slideshow and export them to PDF.As of now, PowerPoint does not have this feature built in.

While this sounds like a pain in the butt, if you can, I would suggest trying to copy and paste these specific elements into Word and then exporting to PDF as an alternative.

Meanwhile, we're glad you found this issue, and I'm sure there are other users out there who feel the same way as you do, that if this feature could be built into PowerPoint, it would greatly enhance the user experience. However, since the Microsoft Community is a technical support community that provides technical support assistance for software, any suggestions you may have about product features will need to be fed back to the development team.

Therefore, we sincerely recommend that you send this valuable suggestion to the Microsoft team. You can submit your valuable suggestion to Microsoft in the PowerPoint document by clicking File > Feedback > I have a suggestion. Microsoft values user experience and opinions, please be sure that they will take your suggestion seriously and deal with it.

Thank you very much for your contribution to the Microsoft community and for your understanding and support.

    Best regards
