How can I make Microsoft Clipchamp use a different drive while actively editing a video?

This question goes for any program that temporarily stores files while working, like Photoshop or video editing software.

The problem is that my SSD only has <10gb of space, but my HDD has hundreds free. Programs like clipchamp store the active files in the C: drive until I am finished and able to export the file to the D: and delete the project in Clipchamp.

With so little space, I cannot edit large videos without the C drive running out of space and crashing my computer.

How can I make clipchamp store active files in the D drive instead?

I would purchase a larger SSD but cannot afford one.

The file is 128 GB which is ridiculously large. I too have a 500GB SSD C Drive so it takes up a massive amount of room. I would have quite happily installed it on my A drive but since you don't give us the option I have uninstalled it and wont be using it again. Microsoft really is going to the dogs.

    Dear Derek Huynh1

Thanks for raising your concerns in Microsoft Community.

We understand that you want to inquire about the cache path of clip champ.

It just needs to be explained that clip champ is a UWP version of the application, and there is no .exe version, that is, the application can only be obtained through the Microsoft Store, and there is no separate installation package.

The default path of the UWP version of the application is in the C drive, and there is no place to modify the cache path in clip champ.

Therefore, unfortunately, the application cannot change the path to other drives.

However, your needs are indeed necessary. We recommend that you go to the feedback platform **** and submit feedback for this issue, where there will be dedicated developers to pay attention to and comment on your feedback.

After sending feedback, you can share the feedback link in this forum, so that other users with similar problems in the forum, including me, can vote for your feedback. The more votes, the easier it is to get the attention of the development team. Thank you for your cooperation.
