My work requires I send out a form and short intro if I am provided only an email address. How may I create and where can I save on my Microsoft Outlook email, as a template, for regular use?

    Hi Karin Woofter1

Good day! Thank you for posting to Microsoft Community. We are happy to assist you.

I am truly sorry for the inconvenience this issue has caused you. Based on the description, I understand that you would like to set up an email template in Outlook for frequent uses.

After doing some research and tests, here are the steps to create an email template in Outlook. (By default, templates are saved in the following location: c:\users*username*\appdata\roaming\microsoft\templates)

    1. On the Home menu, select New Email.  **Note:**To create an email message using a keyboard shortcut, press Ctrl + Shift + M.
    2. In the message body, enter the content that you want.
    3. In the message window, select File > Save As.
    4. In the Save As dialog box, in the Save as type list, select Outlook Template.
    5. In the File name box, type a name for your template, and then select Save.

To use your template, go to the "Home" tab, click on "New Items," then "More Items," and select "Choose Form." In the "Choose Form" dialog box, change the "Look in" dropdown to "User Templates in File System." Select your template and click "Open" to create a new email based on your template.

For details, please see: Create an email message template - Microsoft Support and Send an email message based on a template - Microsoft Support.

Feel free to let me know if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,

    Roger Shen

    Hi Roger,

Just wanted to convey my thanks for your reply before too much more time passes. I have not had a chance to get this done, extremely busy triaging other tasks during this busy annual open enrollment, but this will be enormously helpful in my work.

    Thank you again.

    Sincerely,

    Karin Woofter
