1drv.ms shortened URL instead of onedrive.live.com

Starting today, instead of the onedrive.live.com embed, each time I generate an embed code for a new file stored on onedrive, the shortened URL version of embeds on my OneDrive is generated.

Canvas doesn't recognize the shortened URL version and I need to have the onedrive.live.one embed codes. However, each time I click on generate, I'm getting the shortened version.

Is there a setting somewhere so I can always get the onedrive.live.com URL embed codes?

Why did it change today to only doing shortened? It renders all of my files useless and destroys years of work on Canvas shells.

    I have the same problem, the workaround is not working. I am trying to connect a spreadsheet in Onedrive to Power BI. I have been using an embed code such as the one above https://onedrive.live.com/embed?resid=AE90F821664B6B0A%21929&authkey=!ADAwQFECu9MXVUY&app=Excel but since this has now suddenly changed to https://1drv.ms/u/c/0b9da5c43481ae10/IQOi8pcUncuLQrzsbtEDbTIvAT8TebSQzalHf8n7JhQEpvE.

    I cannot connect. Could you please help me ?

    This problem continues. There are times I get the embed code using onedrive.live.com and other times it returns the 1drv.ms shortened version. Once it generates the shortened embed code then I cannot use the 1drv.ms and cannot figure out how to ONLY get the onedrive.live.com. I cannot find a setting and I do not know if there is a way to force to only get onedrive.live.com.

    This is rendering onedrive useless. I cannot use a URL shortener, do not want one, it should never be there, I am so frustrated that my work is destroyed because some idiot thought they were being cute.

    I'm about ready to abandon OneDrive.

    This problem persists, there seems to be no solution anywhere.

    Instead of getting:

    https://onedrive.live.com/**embed**?resid=AE90F821664B6B0A%21929&authkey=!ADAwQFECu9MXVUY

    All we get now is:

    https://1drv.ms/u/c/0b9da5c43481ae10/IQOi8pcUncuLQrzsbtEDbTIvAT8TebSQzalHf8n7JhQEpvE

    Update. After a few hours I might have found a workaround.

    1. Get the embedded code from OneDrive.
    2. Open the URL that it gives in a bowser, and the URL that opens should be the correct onedrive.live link.

    Do you mean your embedding string in the picture below becomes

    <iframe src="https://1drv.ms.com/embed?resid=BC3444416D822096%21159&authkey=!ADlX-V4IvtcPi3E&em=2" width="402" height="327" frameborder="0" scrolling="no"></iframe>

     

    As I can't reproduce your problem, can you provide some screenshots with us? Remember to remove personal data from your screenshot.

    I am having the same problem embedding my documents into Sway. It does not recognise the shortened URL "1drv.ms.com" and needs the full URL like the one you have outlined in your screenshot above.

    Do you know how to change it from "1drv.ms.com" back to the "onedrive.live.com" URL?
