I would like to access Shared OneDrive Folder to me in File explorer for easier access that I won't need to open on Web Browser the Office365. I read some thread that says I need to click on Tab-Sync , but it is missing on my OneDrive Ribbon.

    Please re-escalate this issue; OneDrive shared folders are not accessible via File Explorer when they used to be. The help article;

    Add and sync shared folders to OneDrive for home - Microsoft Support addresses this as an ISSUE. But this ISSUE has been an ISSUE for over a year now and this is likely impacting many small businesses including my own.

    Hi,

    I followed this process since I needed to solve this as well and all my shortcuts are now showing as internet shortcuts which need a browser. Why in the world is OneDrive like this? In all my years using dropbox and box, there hasnt been an issue mostly because they work seamlessly with windows explorer. Its also why dropbox remains popular despite privacy & data security concerns.

    Please escalate this issue within MSFT. Its bad enough that the person I share a folder with needs to login to onedrive online to add a shortcut, but then they cannot edit the files in explorer either? What fresh hell is this?

    I'm experiencing the same issue. I've always had access to a shared onedrive folder directly on the desktop (file explorer), but overnight I lost the access. Now, whenever I want to access it, I'm redirected to the browser version. It's quite annoying. I'm also having some problems with Office apps, sometimes Onedrive is unable to save on the server a file I edited...

    Help please!

    I have a similar issue whereby I am trying to add a OneDrive folder that was shared with me to my OneDrive in Explorer. This does not seem to be working, I can only see a folder shortcut added which takes me straight back to the Microsoft 365 version of OneDrive, which is not helpful as I have to work on the same files as someone else who works remotely.

    Can you advise what I need to do please. This is pretty urgent.

    Thanks

    I agree Microsoft owes us an answer to this problem. It has been quite some time with no update! I have 1 folder that actually still opens in file explorer and all my other shared folders are now links to the browser version do NOT open in file explorer. I cannot figure out what is the difference but they all should work in file explorer, VERY frustrating!
