Microsoft forms responses are not syncing automatically to onedrive/sharepoint

We used to have an excel system running off the final line of the excel sheet generated by forms.

I have a new tenant and forms is using the new GUI

I send some responses inside forms, but the results are not synced/updated inside my sharepoint/onedrive excel sheet automatically.

It will only work if i click on open result in excel inside the webpage, which will then only update my excel in sharepoint/onedrive.

Please advise how i can get it working again.

Thanks

Just like hundreds in the comment section and probably thousands out there I am frustrated too with this change. This definitely looks like step backwards. What used to an automated thing now requires us to manual open the excel. For someone like me this also means I will no longer be able to seamlessly connect the form responses (saved in excel) to be used in other flows within power automate. This is such a bad move

I could not agree more about this change. This is a huge step backwards in terms of seemless data management. I have several 30+ excel spreadsheets that I have to manually update for my PowerBi and Power Automate systems to work. These funnel into Business dashboards that are updated regularly. Please, Microsoft, fix this issue. It's a major problem!

Why, why, WHY did Microsoft change this?!?

I have created a form to report incidents in our plant and warehouse. They scan the QR code and fill out the form. Once they submit the form, it was automatically syncing to the Excel spreadsheet. Then I created a Power Automate to immediately email a set of employees designated to handle incidents. Now, it doesn't do it. Now, I am supposed to guess when there's an incident and go in and open the spreadsheet in the online version to get the report to the contact people? So, am I expected to spend my day .. AND NIGHT .. checking the form 24/7 to notify the incident team that something is wrong?

This is absolutely ridiculous. It worked perfectly, but now Microsoft has decided to "upgrade it" and make it stop working? For what reason? Please explain it to me like I am 5 because now my beautiful incident report mechanism doesn't work AT ALL. And this is a HUGE problem.

I could not agree more! I have the same problem with ALL of our forms that we've created and attached to dashboards in PowerBI. Thankfully, I think our internal team has identified another solution but it requires us to create another PowerAutomate in its place. Truly the WORST Microsoft update ever!

    Hi AJ,

Thanks for your response, It is the same result, if i do not click this circled part to open the excel in my browser even when there's new responses, the onedrive file on my desktop will not automatically update. I've used forms for the past 3 to 4 years and it was working all fine until recently. Please find a workaround for me as we use it for our office operations automation daily.
