How come I can't delete my personal vault?

Trying to personalize my computer, I've tried to delete a number of empty folders in my OneDrive but more than a couple won't allow me to by checking the box and hitting delete. Is there another way?

I'm really sorry for wherever this ends up getting posted. I don't know what most of the options are under the 'Product' tab but clicked on Microsoft 365 because after I got that, that's when OneDrive started trying to default send everything I tried to save there. I go in periodically and take everything out of OneDrive that I accidentally put there when I forget that the default is now OneDrive.

    Hello SonseearaeL, Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community. Regarding your need to remove your personal repository from OneDrive;

    This is mentioned in the official support article for OneDrive personal vaults:Video: How to use Personal Vault - Microsoft Support

    So you cannot delete it, it is by design;

    Then in the case you mentioned that OneDrive backs up files you don't need, you can follow these steps to open the OneDrive Backup Manager and cancel the folders you don't want to back up:

    1. Open OneDrive settings (select the OneDrive cloud icon in your notification area, and then select the OneDrive Help & Settings icon then Settings.)
    2. Go to the Sync and backup tab.
    3. Select Manage backup.

    To start backing up a folder, toggle any folder that says Not backed up, and then select Save changes

    I hope this helps.
