    I have had this problem for a while now. tried 100+ "solutions" from your community. Even did a factory reset of my laptop, nothing worked. Could you please fix this problem in your Microsoft software?

    The concern with this advice is that you DELETE all of your credentials, you risk losing EVERYTHING.

    Suppose you delete and then CANNOT log back into your Microsoft account? What then?

    Why does Microsoft need to impose this inconvenience? Once you've signed up, shouldn't that be enough?

    And why does Microsoft make it SO difficult to access documents from one's hard drive?

    This should be a ready option until the problems with One Drive are ironed out.

    I've had this problem too, and I can't seem to fix it. It's been an issue for a long time judging by the community posts.

    I have the same problem. I cleared the cache as instructed. This only started happening after a Windows update. Very frustrating as I can't get my work done.

    Hello,carol smith2 Thanks for using Microsoft products and posting in the community. Regarding the prompt that you are experiencing that the cached credentials have expired, are you experiencing this issue in Microsoft 365?

    If you are experiencing this issue in Microsoft 365, you can try the following options:

    • Press Win + Q to open Search, search for Credential Manager, open it and then click on Windows Credentials. Find all your Office credentials in there, delete them and then try to log back into your Microsoft 365;
    • If you have previously used office's automatic backup on OneDrive. Please open Word, select File in the top left corner, then click Account in the bottom left corner, in the bottom left corner of the newly opened interface you can see the OneDrive you have linked, please click Delete to disconnect from OneDrive. Then restart your computer and open office again to see if the problem still exists;

    I hope you can tell me the result of your operation, in the meantime I will discuss your problem with other engineers and will give you further support according to your reply.
